This year, we had a bill introduced and that is a great achievement. We need to work hard so that when it is reintroduced next year, we will be successful.

This bill will give municipalities the option of using instant runoff voting in elections. To move it forward, we still need to convince the leaders of the Judiciary Committee.

We spoke to many legislators on our lobbying day, but we are not guaranteed a hearing...yet. We need to make sure that the leaders of the judiciary know that we mean business. We do that by contacting them.

We're also launching a campaign to show the legislature that municipalities want IRV! The Municipal Association of SC supports H.4022, but we can do more. We spoke to many legislators on our lobbying day, but we are not guaranteed a hearing...yet. We need to make sure that the leaders of the judiciary know that we mean business. We do that by contacting them.
