Virtual Documentary Night is a monthly online event hosted by Community Documentary Night. It is designed to give people the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions on a wide range of topics with people from various backgrounds. This event is in collaboration with Better Ballot Georgia, New Hampshire Ranked Choice Voting (NH RCV), FairVote Minnesota (FairVote MN), Rank MI Vote, Voter Choice NJ (VCNJ), FairVote Washington, Elders for a Sound Democracy, and Better Ballot South Carolina (Better Ballot SC). 

For this Special Virtual Documentary Night, in honor of National Voter Education Week, we are meeting to talk about the documentary, The Battle for Ranked Choice Voting. From Maine to New Mexico, citizens across America are clamoring for free and fair elections through ranked choice voting (RCV). Our story unfolds as voters organizing to enact the reform face fierce pushback from establishment politicians. The film looks at the historical rise, fall, and rebirth of RCV in the United States and abroad, and embed viewers in the front line of the battle raging over voters’ rights. Julie Mallozzi, Scotty Vercoe, Nika Elugardo, and Kyle Bailey will be joining us for a special guest Q&A! You can watch the film for free at the link below.
